. Your Gran kept lots of paintings I did from when I was a little girl. This is from when I was four years old - a king and queen outside their castle!
. As I got older I started to draw and use watercolour paints. Here's a painting I did when I was aged nine - some flowers in a vase at Christmas time.
. Jenny Saville's paintings inspire many of mine. As you can see on the left, she paints flesh that is gripped and pulled. That's what I experimented with as you can see by my canvas on the right. I am fascinated by the colour, texture and shape of flesh and what's beneath the skin: muscle, fat, tendons and bone.

cRxeate. is an online forum for people who make art to de-stress and be inspired
Through the year of 2019 and onwards, my friend Jo and I have co-founded an online forum called cRxeate. - which is for doctors, vets and dentists who are creative in their spare time. It's been shown that the act of making things can help people de-stress from their jobs and provide them with some inspiration within their career.
Jo and I have been designing the website www.crxeate.com, various pages in social media and also business cards to publicise this group. I've also contacted people from all the vet schools in the UK to promote this in the student world too!
