New exhibition in a long time!

I've just had an exhibition of a few of my works for the first time in ages and it's been such a relief! It was actually a virtual exhibition which means of course that you could only see the paintings online. The show was called Figurative Art Now through Mall Galleries in London.

I was thrilled that the two paintings that were selected for it were two canvases that mean a lot to me. Firstly was Truth, a self portrait I started just before I got pregnant with Jack and finished after he was around six months old. The second was a canvas that I've never been able to show publicly before - Out in the Open. This is a nude self portrait I did in 2007. I lifted my brush to it for the last time literally days before we flew out to Melbourne to live. While we were gone, my Mum and Dad - your grandparents of course - looked after my painting while I was gone.
